J-K Governor, CM greet people on Holi

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today greeted the people on the occasion of Holi and hoped that the festival of colours would be a harbinger of peace, progress and prosperity in the state.

In his message, the Governor observed that festivals are an important component of India's rich cultural heritage which strengthen the bonds of brotherhood, love and amity.

He expressed hope that Holi would spread happiness and joy all around and promote harmony and brotherhood and prayed for the the well-being and prosperity of the people.

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also greeted the people on Holi, wishing them well being and happiness.
 

In his greeting message, the CM reminded the people of the rich tradition of Jammu and Kashmir of celebrating festivals and holy occasions in amity and brotherhood and expressed hope that this ethos would get further strengthened this Holi.

Omar prayed for peace, prosperity and progress of the state and the country.
