Jammu and Kashmir government today approved a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for the actions being taken whenever the Governor's rule is implemented in the state.
The State Administrative Council approved the SOP for the actions being taken on various issues within prescribed timelines for ensuring that government business is discharged effectively whenever the Governor's Rule is imposed in the state, an official spokesperson said.
The SAC met under the chairmanship of Governor N N Vohra, he said.

"The aspects of government business covered under the SOP include, appointment of advisors, constitution of the State Administration Council, delegation of powers at various levels to facilitate smooth functioning of the government," he said.
It also include the recall of the gazetted, non-gazetted staff posted in the personal sections of the ministers, ministers of state, chairperson(s), vice-chairperson(s) of various boards and commissions.
"Resignation of the members, chairpersons of various statutory, non-statutory organisations, boards, resignation of persons nominated, appointed as Advocate General/Additional Advocate General are also included," he said.
