Jammu and Kashmir government today asked state-owned BSNL to provide cellular connectivity on the Mughal Road, the alternative road connecting Kashmir Valley with Jammu.
"In view of the increasing vehicular traffic on Mughal Road, the Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Pawan Kotwal has asked the BSNL to provide cellular connectivity on the road linking Kashmir Valley with Jammu region," an official spokesman said.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, M H Malik and officials of BSNL to discuss the issue of mobile connectivity from Chandimarh to Dubjan on Mughal Road.

The Divisional Commissioner directed the BSNL authorities to immediately send a team to study the feasibility and identify the location for installation of mobile towers, he said.
The Deputy Commissioner Poonch assured to provide the logistic support to BSNL in identifying the location and installation of mobile towers, he said.
