The Jammu and Kashmir government was committed towards development and meeting the aspirations of people, Minister of State for Technical Education, Power and Information, Vikar Rasool Wani, said today.
The state government has already launched a comprehensive development plan to meet the needs of the people particularly living in far flung areas, he said while addressing a public meeting at village Lamber-Gujjarnar in Ramban district.
The Minister also lauded the role of the Centre for providing liberal funding to the state.

Launching of flagship schemes across the state especially in health, education and other social sectors has strengthened the economic profile of people, Wani said.
The Minister informed the gathering that construction of road from Lamber to Gijjarnar will start soon and the work on water supply scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 37.5 lakh is already in progress.
