J-K govt exempts fee of competitive examinations for BPL girls

BPL women candidates do not need to deposit application fees for appearing at the competitive examinations by various state recruiting agencies, Secretary, General Administrative Department (GAD), Sheikh Mushtaq Ahmad, said.

Among these, sanction has been given for exemption of such fees payable to J&K Public Service Commission and Services Selection Board Recruiting Agencies, he said.

To avail the exemption, an applicant will have to produce her Below Poverty Line Ration Card, Certificate issued by the Consumer Affairs and Public Distribution Department, he said.

The losses, caused to the Revolving Funds of the recruiting agencies on this account will be compensated by the government wherever necessary, Ahmed added.
