Jammu and Kashmir government today launched single window 'Any Time, Any Where' access to the information and services of various departments of Jammu and Kashmir Government.

"The portal will provide to people a single window 'Any Time, Any Where' access to the information and services of various departments of the Jammu and Kashmir government at all levels of governance for citizens and business," an official spokesman said.

Minister for Information Technology and Science Feroze Khan launched the portal at the Civil Secretariat here.

The portal shall provide comprehensive, accurate, reliable and one-stop source of information about the state and its various facets.

The official websites of various government departments which were accessible to citizens on different addresses shall now be accessible through this portal, thus avoiding the hassle of remembering individual website addresses.

The Minister desired to add disaster management features to this portal as well for use at the time of the natural calamities for providing free flow of information related to advisories of various departments about rescue and relief operations.

Non-availability of information for the trapped and rescued people in the recent floods had added to panic amongst the citizens, he said.

Secretary, Information Technology Department Parvez Ahmad Malik said the portal is hosted in J&K State Data Centre, which will be connected with National Data Centre of NIC in Delhi.
