Jammu and Kashmir government today sent a group of 285 youths to Punjab and Haryana for training in different employable modules as part of Centre's Skill Development Initiative Scheme.
Flagging off the tour, Minister of State for Technical Education and Rural Development Vikar Rasool Wani advised the students to "hone their skills in the opted module as it will enable to get better employability in public and private sectors".
The minister also highlighted various features of the scheme and asked the youths to attend the training with utmost concentration to achieve excellence in their chosen fields.

Drawn from various districts of Jammu division, the youths would get training in different modules at Sumit Dhariwal Memorial, ITC at Hisar in Haryana; Mehtab Computer Society at Barnala in Punjab; Morni Skill Development Academy (Haryana); D R Memorial in Sirsa of Haryana; C Tech at Ropar; and G&G, ITC in Panchkula, an official spokesman said.
Sp far 10,600 youths have undergone training outside the state under the scheme, the spokesman added.
