The Jammu and Kashmir government has submitted a proposal for establishing 150 ITIs and 142 Skill Development Centres to the Centre for approval under Public Private Partnership mode.
Replying to a query by Congress MLA Ashok Kumar, Minister of State for Technical Education Vikar Rasool told the Assembly that the government has submitted a proposal for establishing 150 ITIs and 142 Skill Development Centres to the Centre for approval under PPP mode.
He said the Central Government contemplates to cover the backlog of these institutions during 12th five year plan.

In a separate query by Congress legislator T Namgyal, the minister informed that 115 posts are lying vacant in the Rural Development Department in Leh district. He said soon steps would be taken to fill up these vacancies.
