J-K govt to develop hanging Garden in Rajouri town

Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to develop a hanging garden in Rajouri town near the historical Fort Dani Dar.

"The government is going to develop a hanging garden near historical Fort Dani Dar in Rajouri district," Minister for Health Shabir Ahmad Khan today said while reviewing tourism activities in the district, carried out by the Tourism Development Authority (TDA).

Khan, who is also an MLA from Rajouri, said on the state government's recommendations, Centre has already sanctioned Rs 3.61 crore for development of the garden.

He directed the Chief Executive Officers concerned to ensure all codal formalities are completed on time and start necessary work at the earliest to avoid cost escalation of the project.
 

The Minister also reviewed several ongoing tourism development projects and directed authorities to outsource the completed infrastructure so that tourists can enjoy them and locals can also get employment.
