J-K govt to develop hilly areas: Minister

"Instructions have been issued to district authorities to reach out the people and address their grievances," Minister for Forests Mian Altaf Ahmad said while addressing a conference of Gujjar and Bakarwals in Udhampur, 65-kms from here.

The development plan aims at benefiting people in urban rural and hilly areas of the state, he said.

Ahmad said the conference has given an opportunity to Gujjars and Bakarwals to project their problems and seek redressal.
