J-K Govt transfers 35 officials including 23 IAS officers

In an administrative reshuffle, Jammu and Kashmir government today transferred over 35 officers, including Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Gazanfar Hussain, within two months of his appointment to the post.

Hussain was posted as Commissioner Secretary General, Administration Department while Asgar Samoon was appointed as Divisional Commissioner for a second stint.

The reshuffle included transfer of 23 IAS officers.

"The transfers and posting were necessitated due to several officers holding additional charge of departments," state Education Minister Naeem Akhtar told reporters after the cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here.

R K Goyal was appointed as Principal Secretary, Home Department, relieving B R Sharma of the additional charge.
 

N K Chaudhary was appointed as Finance Secretary while Dheeraj Gupta was transfered and posted as Commissioner Secretary, Relief and Rehabilitation. He will also be the project officer for World Bank projects in the state.

Ashraf Bukhari was transfered and posted as Commissioner Secretary in Agriculture Production department while Hridesh Kumar was posted as Secretary for Technical Education and Information Technology.

Simrandeep Singh was posted as Deputy Commissioner, Jammu while Shahid Iqbal was posted as Deputy Commissioner of Udhampur district.
