J-K govt withdraws 88 vehicles from legislators

The Jammu and Kashmir government has withdrawn 88 vehicles from legislators in the state.

Replying to a question by NC member Dr Shehnaz Ganai in the Legislative Council today,Minister for R-B and Parliamentary Affairs Abdul Rehman Veeri on the behalf of the Home Minister said the police department has withdrawn 88 vehicles from various legislators out of which 17 vehicles have been deployed with other protected persons.

He said 58 vehicles have been kept in Police Central Stores in Srinagar and Jammu as most of them are flood affected while the remaining 13 vehicles are at Central Pool Jammu and Srinagar and have been kept reserved.
 

Legislators Sofi Yousuf and Zafar Iqbal Manhas raised supplementaries to the main question.
