J-K Guv visits 14 Corps HQ in Leh

Jammu and Kashmir Governor N N Vohra today visited the headquarters of the Army's 14 Corps at Leh where he was briefed about the overall security situation.

Lt General Rajan Bakshi, General Officer Commanding of 14 Corps, gave a briefing to the Governor about the overall security situation in the very large area of his responsibility and about issues relating to security management in regard to the Line of Control on Pakistani side and Line of Actual Control (LAC) on Chinese side, an official spokesman said.

The Army commander also appraised the Governor about the recent Chinese intrusions in Eastern Ladakh along the LAC, he said.
 

The Governor discussed various important matters, which have a bearing on the overall security environment in the Ladakh region with the Corps Commander and other senior Army officers.

The Governor lauded the Army in defending the territorial integrity of the country with valour and commitment and for promptly providing help and support to people during natural calamities and emergencies.
