Jammu and Kahsmir Legislative Council today adopted three resolutions including one for allotment of five marlas of land to the persons living along International Border and Line of Control.
As many as six resolutions were moved by different Private Members in the House today.
Of them, the resolutions moved by Dr Shehnaz Ganai, Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri and Jugal Kishore were adopted after putting to vote, while Naresh Kumar Gupta, Sham Lal Bhagat and Ghulam Nabi Monga withdrew their resolutions after getting assurance from the Government.

The resolution of Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri pertains to creation of a Scientific Commission in the backdrop of last year's devastation caused by the floods, besides urging the Centre to construct an alternate flood channel and increasing carrying capacity of river Jhelum to save the Srinagar city from future floods.
The resolution moved by Dr Shahnaz Ganai pertains to allotment of five marlas of land to the persons living along International Border and Line of Control.
Similarly, the resolution moved by Naresh Kumar Gupta related to recalling the doctors serving on administrative posts in the Health and Medical Education Department and filling these posts by IAS/KAS cadre officers in the best interest of public of the State.
The resolution moved by Ghulam Nabi Monga related to extending Baramulla railway link up to Kupwara while the resolution moved by Sham Lal Bhagat pertained to regularization of Chowkidars and Numberdars besides enhancing their honorariums.
