Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today met Governor N N Vohra here and discussed law and order situation in the state and arrangements of the ongoing Amarnath yatra.
The meeting at the Raj Bhawan was focused on the maintenance of law and order, internal security, pace of tourist arrivals in the Valley and the progress of Amarnath pilgrimage among others issues, an official spokesman said.
He said timely implementation of important schemes and projects, functioning of universities, need for critical watch on the emergence of new educational institutions and steps required to protect the education sector in the state also came up for a detailed discussion during the meeting.
Mehooba and the governor also projects which maybe taken up by the state government later this year, the spokesman said.
