"The government is keen to develop backward and far-flung areas of the state as a policy", the minister said while addressing public meetings in Poonch district of the state.
He said that the government has embarked upon an ambitious plan of developing areas which could not compete due to geographical or natural disadvantages.
Water is the biggest natural resource of the state and with the collection of water usage charges the state would become self-sufficient in coming years, he added. PTI AB SPC
