J&K: Nomad killed, 1 injured in road accident

A nomad was killed and another injured when a truck ran over a herd of cattle on Jammu-Srinagar national highway in Ramban district of the state today.

Four buffaloes were also killed in the incident.

The accident occurred near Pantiyal in the Ramsoo area of the district when the truck ran over the herd before turning turtle, a police officer said.

Bashir Gujjar died on the spot while Jaffer Ali suffered injuries in the incident, he said.

A case has been registered and investigation initiated, he added.
