Jammu police today arrested one person and recovered 30 pouches of liquor from his possession.
"Police party of RS Pura police station today laid a surpise checkpoint at Chak Aslam road and intercepted one person identified as Vikram Jeet Singh," a police spokesperson said.
Upon search, 30 pouches of J&K excise liquor were recovered from him, which he was carrying to sell, he said.
"The accused was arrested and the liquor seized. A case under various sections of the RPC and Excise Act has been registered in this regard," he said.
