The SPOs were absorbed in the Jammu and Kashmir Police as constables following recommendation by the concerned supervisory officers.
Addressing a function, DGP K Rajindra stressed that the policemen dedicate themselves in the service of the people and ensure safety of human lives and public property.
He said that "men in khaki" have to maintain high standards of discipline at every level and live up to the expectations of the people.
The DGP said that a mega plan has been taken up to improve working and living conditions of the personnel in far-flung areas.
After dedicating the armed battalion headquarter at Doda to police personnel, he reviewed the pace of progress of on going construction works in the district by Police Construction Division and Police Housing Corporation.
