The Jammu and Kashmir police today claimed to have arrested three people with cannabis and poppy in Jammu and Rajouri districts of the state.
On specific information, police intercepted a drug peddler in Kalakote belt of Rajouri district and recovered from him 25 grams of Cannabis today, a police officer said.
The alleged peddler was arrested and a case registered against him, the police officer said.

In another case, police intercepted two pedestrians at Satwari belt of Jammu city and during search of their belongings recovered 4 kg poppy straw from their possession, officer said.
The police have registered a case under relevant sections of law, he said adding that investigation is going on to ascertain the source and destination of the consignment.
