Inspector General of Police (Armed) Rouf-ul-Hassan chaired a meeting last evening to discuss the arrangements with regard to the three-day festival, an official spokesman said.
Hassan said the festival is being organised under J&K police' popular 'Civic Action Programme' and participation from sportspersons and youth is expected.
The festival will include events like open Kashmir marathon shikara race, water polo, kayaking and canoeing, swimming, shikara race, dragon boat race, demb boat race, half marathon and water skiing.
In swimming, the events include freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke, relay and long distance open.
The winners of different events would be given cash prizes of Rs one lakh.
