J&K police to provide modern medical facilities to personnel

Jammu and Kashmir Police is focusing on providing modern medical and diagnostic facilities to its personnel through the police hospitals in twin capital cities, DGP K Rajendra Kumar said today.

"Upgradation of infrastructure and diagnostic equipment are among top priority of the Organization for strengthening the hospitals for providing better treatment to the personnel," Kumar said while commissioning new multi-storey building for Police Hospital here.

He reiterated that it is the aim of the department to upgrade fully the police hospitals with infrastructure and diagnostic facilities.

Kumar said that it was a requirement of the hospital and with the completion of modern multi-storey building; indoor and outdoor patients would be treated in a better way.
 

Besides the building would have administrative block, conference hall and general store.

The DGP said the department is focussing to provide modern medical and diagnostic facilities to its personnel and their families at the hospital in twin capital cities in the state.

He said that this was necessitated due to the increased manpower in the force during past some years and the department has undertaken various schemes to provide better medical services to its personnel through these hospitals.
