Jammu and Kahsmir thrashed Andhra Pradesh 5-2, while Puducherry thumped Tripura 25-2 as the fifth Hockey India Junior Men's National Championship got underway here.
In the last match for the day between Bihar and Rajasthan, it was the former which registered a convincing 8-1 win.
In the match between Puducherry and Tripura, it was the former who controlled the match throughout as they scored 25 goals. The star player for the match was V. Veera Thamizan as he went berserk and singlehandedly scored 11 field goals leaving everyone awestruck.
