J&K PWD minister calls on Governor

Jammu and Kashmir Public Works Department Minister Syed Mohammad Altaf Bukhari today called on Governor N N Vohra at the Raj Bhawan here and apprised him about the status of various ongoing road projects in the state.

Bukhari informed the governor about the status of important road and bridge projects in the state, an official spokesman said.

He also informed the governor about the ongoing work in respect of certain roads in district Reasi which would link the upcoming super speciality hospital at Kakryal with the rest of Jammu region and with the Valley via the National Highway.

Stressing that road connectivity was the biggest challenge for development of the state, the governor complimented Bukhari for visibly invigorating the functioning of the Public Works Department and expediting the process of repair and renovation of various important roads.
