J&K resident arrested in Punjab for possessing heroin

A resident of Jammu and Kashmir has been arrested here for allegedly possessing 20 grams of heroin, police said today.

During vehicle checking yesterday, a team of Pathankot police led by Inspector Avtar Singh, stopped a car at Kandrori Mor Adda near Nangal Bhur here.

During the search, police found 20 grams of heroin from the possession of car driver identified as Mohammad Nadim, resident of Udhampur in J&K, Pathankot SSP Rakesh Kaushal said.

A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered against the accused at police station Sadar, Pathankot, he said.
