The Jammu and Kahsmir government today set December 31 as the deadline for uploading the Results-Framework Document (RFD) by all departments for the 2013-14 financial year.

A state Chief Secretary Mohammad Iqbal Khandey-led panel today reviewed the progress of the RFD and directed all the departments to submit a summary of important results they expect during this financial year and upload it by the end of this month.

Under the RFD, departments and ministries provide summary of most important results they expect during a financial year so that their work can be evaluated.

The main purpose is to move the focus of a department or a ministry from process-orientation to result-orientation and provide an objective to evaluate its overall performance at the end of the year.

As many as 30 departments presented their RFDs for the 2013-14 period, out of which 29 were approved by the high-powered Committee in today's meeting.

The departments were also directed to submit the year-end evaluation report on their progress during this period by May 1, 2014.

The state has recently received the Award of Excellence for the most expeditious implementation of Results-Framework Document (RFD) at state-level from the Centre.
