Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly Speaker Mubarak Gul today made a fervent appeal to members of all political parties to maintain decorum of the House and extend cooperation for smooth conduct of the session.
Referring to today's "unhealthy incidents" in the House which hampered normal business, the Speaker urged the MLAs to raise their issues as per the norms and procedure laid down in the Business and Conduct Rules of the House.
He said the members were at liberty to raise issues of public importance in a democratic way, adding that hampering the proceedings amounted to the wastage of precious time.
Gul said that all parties had earlier been urged to extend their cooperation for running of the session smoothly.
The Speaker also expressed concern over the incident in the House in which a Legislator, Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, and some officials were injured.
