The technical education regulator in Jammu and Kashmir would conduct all its examinations under CCTV camera surveillance to ensure better monitoring, an official spokesperson said today.

The decision was taken at the 18th board meeting of the Jammu and Kashmir State Board of Technical Education (JKSBOTE) here. The meeting was chaired by Imran Raza Ansari, the state's minister for technical education.

All the examination centres, both government and private institutions, would be covered under CCTV camera surveillance to improve the standard of conducting examinations and evaluation process, the JKSBOTE spokesperson said.

At the meeting, it was also decided that an incubation- cum-placement centre would be established in the state.

Speaking about the modified re-evaluation norms, the spokesperson disclosed that for identification and availing the copy of answer sheets, students can apply for the same.

At the meeting, the minister was briefed about the reformative initiatives taken by the board, which include online submission of various forms, smart classrooms and online attendance system among others, the spokesperson added.
