Menaka Sardar, a BJP legislator in the Jharkhand Assembly, has been chosen for the Birsa Munda Memorial Best Legislator Award for the year 2018.
She will get a cash prize of Rs 51,000, a citation and a memento, the Public Relations Officer (PRO) with the Jharkhand Assembly Secretariat, Gulam M Sarfaraz, said here on Monday.
He said a selection committee, headed by Speaker Dinesh Oraon, met on Monday and decided that Sardar would be the recipient of the award this year.
He said the award will be conferred on her on November 22, the foundation day of the Jharkhand Assembly.
