"A new policy is ready and will be placed in the next cabinet for approval on October 15. This will address the problems of farmers and land-losers," Munda told a press conference, the first after his helicopter accident on May 9.
Munda said the new policy would address the problems of farmers and others losing land for irrigation projects.
He would make efforts to ensure that all such projects were completed during the 12th plan year, so that farmers could get water by 2017.
"We are looking into fund management to complete pending irrigation projects, particularly nine major ones," he said.
