Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said that the council that would prepare development model for the state, will be set up by the fist week of May.
The council, with the term of five years, would begin work on budget and plans from September, he added.
In his budget speech on March 3, Das had announced setting up of the council to ensure maximum participation of the people in the state's development.
The chief minister would head the council with his cabinet colleagues, MPs from the state, experts on planning, finance and public administration, intellectuals and non-government organisations would be members of the council, Das said.
