J'khand Govt clears proposal to construct Rabindra Mandap

The Jharkhand government today gave administrative approval of Rs 167.03 crore to construct a Rabindra Mandap in Ranchi.

The Mandap would have an auditorium with a capacity between 1,200 and 1,500 people, a multi-purpose hall with a capacity of 1,500 people, four conference halls each having a capacity of 50 persons, 20 roomed guest house, food court, shops, gymnasium, library and musical hall, an official release said here.

The building has also proposal for underground parking and plantation.

A state cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Raghubar Das gave its nod to Rs 6,570.16 lakh for construction of a Haj House in Ranchi, the release said.
 

The House would have a prayer room for Haj pilgrims, Imamkhana, Visa desk, Air ticket counter, registration and other facilities.

The cabinet also approved Rs 78.87 crore for development of WiFi facilities in educational institutions in the first phase, the release added.
