A "Jack Ryan" TV series is officially on its way to Amazon Studios, and it comes from "Lost" showrunner Carlton Cuse and writer Graham Roland.

The streaming service has commissioned a full series based on the adventures of bestselling author Tom Clancy's super spy, multiple media outlets report, reported Digital Spy.

This "Jack Ryan" television series comes from Paramount TV and Michael Bay's Platinum Dunes, and will be a contemporary take on the character.

Jack Ryan has been played on the big screen by the likes of Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford and Ben Affleck, in addition to a recent reboot starring Chris Pine.

The spy first appeared in Clancy's 1984 debut novel "The Hunt for Red October", with its success launching multiple spin-offs.
