The Andhra Pradesh police chief today gave permission to YSR Congress chief Y S Jaganmohan Reddy for his yatra next week but asked organisers to ensure there is no damage to public or private properties during the event.
The Leader of Opposition is embarking on 'Praja Sankalpa Yatra' from November 6. He will launch his seven- month-long foot march from his village R K Valley in Kadapa district and cover 3,000km across the state.
A delegation of YSRC leaders met DGP (in charge) Nanduri Sambasiva Rao here and "intimated" him about details of the yatra.

Rao laid down a condition that the organisers ensure compliance to the Supreme Court guidelines (against destruction of public and private properties) and that the crowd be regulated by the party by deploying voluntary workers.
He directed district superintendents of police and commissioners to make necessary security arrangements and follow the Supreme Court guidelines.
Ever since Jagan Reddy announced a couple of months ago that he would undertake a padyatra across the state, the TDP leaders, including Deputy Chief Minister (Home) N China Rajappa, had been insisting that the former obtain "prior permission" from the police.
The DGP (in charge), too, had been saying the same.
But the YSRC countered their contention, saying no leader in the past obtained such permission for a similar yatra.
Two days ago, Jagan Reddy's PS wrote a letter to the DGP in charge, "informing" about the yatra and requesting that necessary security arrangements be made as the YSR Congress chief is a Z category protectee.
Today, Leader of Opposition in the Legislative Council Ummareddy Venkateswarlu and senior leader Botsa Satyanarayana led a party delegation to Rao to communicate about Jagan Reddy's yatra.
