The '2012 UK Vehicle Ownership Satisfaction Study (VOSS)' -- that covered nearly 18,000 individuals -- was conducted by research firm JD Power and Associates along with 'What Car?' magazine, Tata Motors said in a statement.

The study took into account various factors including performance, reliability, quality, cost of ownership, dealer service satisfaction, design and comfort.

"It's tremendous to have such customer recognition of our commitment to delivering quality, technology and a world-class ownership experience," Jaguar Cars Global Brand Director Adrian Hallmark said.

In the 2012 first quarter, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) reported an over two-fold rise in net income at 696 million pounds (over Rs 6,000 crore) compared to 262 million pounds (over Rs 2,380 crore) recorded in the same period last year.
