Jai Raj Ispat to set up Rs 3000 cr steel plant in Telangana

Jai Raj Ispat Ltd will establish a steel plant with a capacity of one million tonne per annum in Dharur mandal of Mahabubnagar district with an investment of Rs 3000 crore, Telangana government said today.

The proposed plant will come up at the Group's 250-acre land in the southern Telangana district, an official release said.

"The proposed steel plant will come up in two phases with an investment of approximately Rs 3,000 crore. With a production capacity of 10 lakh tonnes annually, the plant will provide direct employment to 1,200 while 3,500 will be indirectly benefited," it said.

Jai Raj Ispat Limited Executive Director Siddharth Jain met Minister for Industries KT Rama Rao and gave details of the project.
 

The company has surveyed industrial atmosphere in all the states and eventually chose Telangana due its "proactive and prompt governance".

KTR assured the Group of all cooperation from the government and directed Arvind Kumar, Secretary, Industries, to take requisite steps, the release added.
