"We have written to our doctor (jail doctor) to ask Maderna, whether he was willing to go for surgery or not.
"If he agrees for the surgery, we will arrange for the same at the place he wishes and if he refuses, like he has been doing for the past many a time, we will inform the court, which will decide as to how to deal with this matter," Jail Superintendent A R Nyazi said.
A medical team constituted by MDM hospital had on June 26 recommended immediate surgery for the sacked Rajasthan minister, who is suffering due to slip disc.
The Jat leader has so far refused to undergo operation.
A state government order to shift him to Jaipur jail, where he was staying staying about 3 months back, has not been implemented by the Jodhpur prison authorities in view of his severe back pain.
While not ruling out travel, the report recommended that Maderna be taken in leaning position as he has been advised to remain on bed rest.

Meanwhile, the CBI is preparing to produce the FBI report, revealing that the charred bones recovered from a canal in the state were that of Bhanwari Devi, in court on July 5.
"After submission of this report in the court on July 5, this report will be given to the counsels of the accused," CBI Senior Special Counsel, Ashok Joshi, said.
On the day, the CBI may also plead before the court to undertake Maderna's trial through video-conferencing from jail itself in the wake of another accused Kailash Jakhar escaping from court premises earlier this month.
