Jaipur Muncipal Corporation officer detained for taking bribe

The Chief Fire Officer of Jaipur Muncipal Corporation was today caught red-handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh through a middleman.

The middleman Pushpendra Agrawal was on the surveillance of the anti-corruption bureau for some time.

Today, the ACB caught them while Dinesh Verma was taking a bribe of Rs 1.5 lakh from the middleman, according to an ACB spokesperson.

Both were detained for interrogation.

Rs 60 lakh in cash were also recovered from the house of Verma, the spokesperson said, adding that the matter was being investigated further.
