An assistant revenue officer of Jaipur Municipal Corporation (JMC) was arrested today while accepting a bribe of Rs 20,000, an official of Rajasthan Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) said.
Posted in Mansarovar area zone of the JMC,Sangita Jain had demanded a bribe for settling a case related to urban development tax refund from a factory owner, ACB ASP Narottam Verma said.
He said Jain had already taken Rs 25,000 from the complainant, which had been verified.
Jain was booked under sections of Prevention of Corruption Act and further investigation is underway, Verma said.
