Jaipur music group to perform at Glasgow

Jaipur's famous Kawa Music Group will enthrall spectators during the Commonwealth Games beginning next month in Glasgow in Scotland.

"Jaipur Kawa Brass Band, Kawa Music Circus and Musafir: Gypsies of Rajasthan will perform at various places in Glasgow," Assistant Director of the group, Danish Neazi, said here today.

The brass band will entertain audience in public places thrice a day, he said adding the entire group, invited by the Scottish Art Council, will perform from July 23 to August three.

"We have specially prepared patriotic song 'Sare Jahan Se Achcha Hindustan Hamara' to cheer Indian players," Neazi said.

The band will also promote Indian art and culture, music and heritage, he said.
 

The Kawa Musical Circus will perform in streets and squares, Neazi said.

Folk songs, music, Bhawai and Kalbelia dances will be performed by artistes of Musafir:Gypsies of Rajasthan, he said.
