Jaisalmer admin bans night movement near Indo-Pak border

With a view to check infiltration, the Jaisalmer district administration has banned public movement near the Indo-Pak border here from 6 pm to 7 am till January 1, 2015.

Jaisalmer Collector N L Meena has issued an order to ban public activities such as roaming or strolling along the Indo-Pak border within the periphery of 5 km from 6 pm to 7 am till January 1, 2015 with a view to contain infiltration of intruders and unsocial elements, an official said today.

Prior permission would be required from the district administration for any activity, if urgent, he said.

Meanwhile, Pokhran Sub-Division Magistrate Virendra Yadav has issued prohibitory orders under section 144 of Cr.P.C. In the area where Baba Ramdeora Mela is being held in Ramdeora till September 9 as a precautionary measure.
