The world renowned Desert Festival of Jaisalmer district would kick-start here from February 20, an official said today.
The three-day festival is an annual event organised every year in February by the State Department of Tourism and the district administration.
Preparations have already begun to woo foreign and domestic tourists, Additional Collector Bhagirath Sharma said after holding a meeting yesterday.
The three-day festival would feature a host of activities such as turban wearing competition followed by moustache, miss moomal, camel decoration, tug of war, and "paniharin matka" competitions, he said, adding that the cultural events would be an added attraction of the festival.
