Foreign Secretary S Jaishakar is in the US where he is meeting top Congressmen and senior officials, the first high-level visit from India following Donald Trump's electoral triumph.
Details of his visit were not available with both sides refraining from commenting on the trip and External Affairs Ministry Spokesperson Vikas Swarup in New Delhi merely saying, "He (Jaishankar) is in the US and meeting members of the administration and Congressmen."
However, it is understood that Jaishankar will meet top Obama Administration officials as well as key members of the Trump transition team.
