Information and Broadcasting minister Arun Jaitely will present the national photography awards to eminent photographers for their outstanding contribution at national and international levels.
The 4th National Photography Awards will be given in three categories of 'Best Photographer of the year', 'Special Mention Award' in both Professional and Amateur category and 'Lifetime Achievement Award' at an event organised by the Photo Division on March 20, an official statement from Information and Broadcasting ministry said today.
The theme for Professional Category is 'Hamara Bharat Swachh Bharat' and for Amateur Category is 'Mother and Child'.

For the first time, it said, the I&B ministry is organising a one day workshop on photography and videography which will be inaugurated by Minister of State for I&B Rajyavardhan Rathore at the National Media Centre.
Secretary (I&B), Bimal Julka will also address the workshop, which has been designed to cover four sessions covering the twin themes of photography and videography.
Around 25 organisations, ministries of Government of India has been invited to nominate officials for attending the workshop, the statement said, and added over 100 officers are expected participate in the still photography workshop, while 35-40 persons for video photography workshop.
The participants to the workshop includes photographers from Photo Division, Doordarshan, Doordarshan (News), IIMC, DAVP and other photographers working under the Government of India.
Santosh Sivan, renowned Cinematographer and Rajesh Bedi, famous photographer and winner of Lifetime Achievement Award in the 3rd National Photography Awards would be the speakers of the workshop. Besides, representatives from Sony and Canon would also be holding sessions in the workshop.
It also includes separate sessions for Videography which would see Experts from institutes like FTII, Dharam Gulati, eminent Cinematographer and Representatives from eminent organisations dealing with technical equipments.
