Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) intends to prepare 30 Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for various institutions of the state like orphanages, jails, educational institutions, police and military academies in the State.
These DPRs will be prepared under Concentrated Solar Thermal (CST) Technology programme in the State, an official spokesman said.
This is aimed at highlighting the applications of CST in industrial, commercial, institutions and establishments for hot water, community cooking, process heat, laundry and space heating in the state.

"The survey of the sites was carried out by M P En systems-a Mumbai based Consultant engaged by Union Ministry of New & Renewable Energy (MNRE) for JAKEDA", he added.
"The DPRs would be submitted to the MNRE for funding and would attract 60 percent subsidy from the MNRE subsidy and 15 percent under the CST project.
The state would also pitch in with a subsidy of up to 15 percent for such projects", he said.
