Consumers of Delhi Jal Board (DJB) will now be able to pay bills or check water usage through its app 'm-Sewa', developed by a mobile wallet company, which will be launched tomorrow.

In order to promote its usage, MobiKwik, the company, will soon launch a cashback offer to encourage people to pay their water bill using DJB app, the platform's founder Bipin Preet Singh said.

An existing app of the DJB, launched in 2014, enables people to register their complaints related to dirty water, leakage, sewer overflow, missing manhole covers.

The app will allow 'one-tap' online payments, instant self-bill generation, option to view previous bills and water consumption graph.

"The app will end the need to stand in queues at cash collection centres and revenue offices for paying water bills," DJB CEO Kesav Chandra had said at a consultative pre- launch workshop on the mobile application.
