'X-Men' actor James Marsden will be starring in the sequel to 2004's laugh-a-minute comedy "Anchorman".
Marsden will join original cast members including leading man Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, Paul Rudd and Christina Applegate as well as newcomer, 'Bridesmaids' actress Kristen Wiig.
The 39-year-old hunk most recently starred in risque comedy "Bachelorette" and has just finished filming "Walk Of Shame" with Elizabeth Banks.
Producer Judd Apatow recently revealed the script, penned by Will and director Adam McKay, is hysterically funny but has vowed to keep details of the plot under wraps.
"We read it a few weeks ago and people were laughing so hard that at about 40 minutes in we all just ran out of gas. It was hard to read the whole thing because we got tired from laughing," said Apatow.
"Anchorman 2" is eyeing up a March shoot in Atlanta for a December 2013 release.
