Jamia Millia Islamia is introducing six new courses from the upcoming academic session including international relations, pharmacy, hotel management and tourism and travel management.
The decision to start these courses was taken by the university's Academic Council.
The newly-approved courses with a total intake of 190 students include MA in International Relations (West Asian Studies), Masters in Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) and LLM (Executive).

Other new courses being introduced are Diploma in Pharmacy (Unani), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM).
The council also decided to discontinue BA (Hons) Hotel Management, Travel and Tourism (self-financed) course from the coming academic year.
"Except MA (International Relations-West Asian Studies) all other courses are self-financed. Thirty students each will be enrolled in MA in International Relations (West Asian Studies), LLM (Executive), Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM), Bachelor of Tourism and Travel Management (BTTM) and Masters in Tourism and Travel Management (MTTM) while 40 students will be admitted for Diploma in Pharmacy (Unani)," a senior official said.
While post graduate courses and diploma in pharmacy will be for two years duration (4 semesters), the undergraduate programmes will be of four years (8 semesters).
Candidates can apply for these courses online on Jamia website from February 2 to March 3.
