Jammu, the winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, today experienced the hottest day of the season with the maximum temperature touching 43.6 degrees Celsius.
The maximum increased by 1.3 degrees since yesterday, a MeT department official said.
The minimum temperature in the city was 26.2 degrees Celsius.
