Jammu-Srinagar national highway closed for vehicular traffic

The 300-km long Jammu-Srinagar national highway was closed for vehicular traffic due to shooting stones and landslides triggered by heavy rains today.

The traffic was suspended in view of landslides and shooting stones at Nashri nallah, Khooni nallah, Seri and Panthyal area on Jammu-Srinagar highway in Ramban district, police said.

Heavy rainfall was witnessed in the entire state today.

The highway will be re-opened after landslides are removed from the route, they added.
